I recently had the pleasure of participating in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) in Lima, Peru. My host while in Peru was Carlos Malpartida, President of Robotec Peru.
Robotec Peru has 14 years conducting workshops with robotics and programming. Over the years, Robotec Peru has been looking for ways to engage more children. This led to a partnership between Robotec Peru and Robomatter to bring STEM curriculum and teacher professional development to schools throughout Peru.
“We know that STEM education is critical for our children and their future. That’s why, since 2003, we have been focused on leading the way in educational technology and tools,” said Carlos Malpartida, President of Robotec Peru. “By providing proven, research-based STEM education to students across Peru, this partnership with Robomatter will help us greatly advance our mission to develop the skills and competencies young people need to excel in today’s world.”
Lima is a beautiful city. While there, I enjoyed meeting with dedicated educators and discussing with them how we can work together so that their students can excel in a 21st century economy. I also had the opportunity to participate in an interview, during which I was asked about STEM education and its impact.
